Our elopements include the option to stay in one of our beautifully unique spaces: two luxury shepherd huts, a cosy Hobbit Hut with wood burning barbeque for tucked-away romance, or our peaceful bell tent for summer evenings under canvas.
Whether it’s just the two of you or a small gathering of loved ones, Shiplate Elopements gives you time, tranquillity, and a sense of intimacy that can’t be scripted.
With symbolic ceremonies, optional extras, and touches like arriving in our classic 1970s soft-top Volkswagen, we help you create a wedding day that’s effortless, heartfelt, and deeply yours.
The Essence Elopement – £1,495
A beautiful, stripped-back experience for couples who want intimacy without the fuss. You’ll have 4 hours of exclusive access to Shiplate Farm, including use of one of our cosy shepherd huts to get ready in peace. Say your vows by the lake or beneath the trees, take time for photos, and enjoy the stillness around you. We’ll introduce you to trusted local suppliers — celebrants, photographers, florists, and more — so your day is simple, soulful, and supported by kind, capable people. It’s eloping, your way, with just the right amount of gentle help..

The Gathering – £2,495
A relaxed elopement experience with room to stay, celebrate, and share it all with your closest people. This package includes one night’s accommodation for up to 8 guests in our charming 3-bedroom cottage and luxury shepherd hut, along with a continental breakfast, a petite celebration cake, and a bottle of champagne to toast the day. Say your vows by the lake, wander the grounds, and enjoy a slow evening with your loved ones. We can connect you with a private chef, celebrant, and florist to shape the day exactly how you want it — simple, beautiful, and yours.

It was a fantabulous stay!
We were 3 couples and this property is best for friends who are looking for pristine and beautiful nature escapes.
We enjoyed our lake side walks and one day we went for local hiking, actually host encouraged us and took us with her.
Local Tesco extra is just 12 minutes drive away and you get everything there.
We had a very comfortable stay !
So overall 5 stars from us.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful farmhouse. It was spacious, sparkling clean and very well equipped. The children loved feeding the animals and we enjoyed walking around the lake in the evening. Sue was so helpful and welcoming. This is an absolute gem of a stay. Highly recommended.

Thank you for a great stay at your accommodation, despite the rain! The house is spacious and very well looked after and it really felt like a home from home. We (particularly our 2 year old granddaughter) enjoyed feeding the friendly sheep and walking round the lake. The surrounding countryside is beautiful.
